Trendingger Posted June 11 Share Posted June 11  Apple has once again unveiled a slew of updates and features at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. To help you get up to speed in one minute, here is a very brief summary sans all the bells and whistles:  Apple Intelligence: Apple is supercharging its newly-unveiled operating systems â iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11 â with âAIâ,  short for âApple Intelligenceâ. This suite of features is designed to enhance user interaction, from generating email summaries to creating AI images of people during messaging, akin to an AI-upgraded Bitmoji.  Siri Makeover: Siri, Appleâs voice assistant, is getting a significant upgrade with the integration of ChatGPT, powered by OpenAIâs GPT-4 and other generative AI models. This revamp is expected to enhance the chatbot experience in Siri and other Apple apps, making interactions more natural and engaging.  Collaboration with OpenAI: Apple announced a collaboration with OpenAI. According to OpenAI, âusers can access it for free without creating an account, and ChatGPT subscribers can connect their accounts and access paid features right from these experiences.â  Genmoji: Emojis can soon be customized on the fly with generative AI, allowing users to express themselves more creatively.  visionOS 2: VisionOS, the operating system for Apple Vision Pro, is also getting a facelift. Headset wearers will soon be able to transform 2D images into spatial photos, and enjoy panoramic productivity with an expandable, ultra-wide screen made possible with Mac Virtual Display.  Vitals Monitoring on Apple Watch: The new Vitals app lets users monitor heart rate, respiratory rate, wrist temperature, sleep duration, and blood oxygen during there sleep. WatchOS has also added more support features for pregnant users, and will provide insights into training loads for fitness users.  Text Scheduling: In response to user demand, text scheduling is finally being introduced, allowing messages to be sent later at specified dates and times.  New Password Manager: Apple has debuted its very own password manager app, allowing users to securely browse and access passwords without needing to open third-party tools.  Safari AI Revamp: The world's fastest browser (according to Apple) now offers Highlights, an easier way to discover information on the web. A redesigned Reader will feature a streamlined view of the article a user is reading, a summary, and a table of contents for longer articles.  Topographic Maps in Apple Maps: Apple Maps is set to include topographic maps, enhancing navigation and exploration for users.  Answering Calls via AirPods: AirPods get smarter, with users now able to answer calls with a simple nod, making hands-free communication truly effortless.  Want to dive deeper into the new features?
