The checkered flag has dropped on the mystery surrounding Apple Original Films' highly anticipated Formula One movie—it's officially called 'F1'! This aptly named project marks a dream collaboration between Apple and seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who steps beyond the driver's seat to co-produce the film.

The excitement extends far beyond the racetrack. 'F1 boasts a star-studded cast and crew guaranteed to get your heart racing. Hollywood icon Brad Pitt steps into the driver's seat as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver lured back into the high-stakes world of motorsport. Partnering with him is rising star Damson Idris, portraying the rookie teammate Joshua Pearce. The duo will ignite both on-track rivalries and the pressure cooker atmosphere within the fictional APXGP team.

At the helm is Joseph Kosinski, the director known for his work on 'Top Gun: Maverick,' while action-film powerhouse Jerry Bruckheimer takes the wheel as producer. Adding an extra layer of authenticity and passion to the production is Lewis Hamilton himself, joining the team behind the scenes.

Rounding out this stellar cast are Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Their presence alongside Pitt and Idris adds further depth and intrigue to the film's narrative.

'F1' promises to be an immersive experience that stretches far beyond the silver screen. Filming has taken place at actual Grand Prix weekends, including Silverstone and Suzuka, with upcoming shoots planned for Hungary, Belgium, Mexico, Las Vegas, and the season finale in Abu Dhabi. This dedication to on-location filming ensures a realistic portrayal of the exhilarating and high-pressure world of Formula One.

The first  glimpse of 'F1' will be unveiled during the upcoming British Grand Prix on July 7th, 2024. Fueling the anticipation, the teaser will be broadcast live via F1's world feed just under 30 minutes before the race starts (around 3:00 PM local time) and will also be shown on large screens around the Silverstone circuit. The film itself hits theaters internationally on June 25th, 2025, with a North American release following two days later on June 27th, 2025.

So, what do you all think? Were you hoping for a more creative title? Either way, with this cast and crew, 'F1' is sure to be a must-watch for racing fans and movie buffs alike.
