Instagram is reportedly down for hundreds of users on August 5, according to DownDetector.

 

Based on the graph showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports started rising above usual levels around  3:37PM Eastern Time. Several users commented that they weren't able to log into the app due to "incorrect passwords."

 

Many Instagram users have thus turned to another social media platform, X, to indicate connectivity issues, such as "posts do not reach the followers."
