Pokémon fans, get ready for a nostalgic blast from the past. The first 22 seasons of the iconic Pokémon anime series are making a triumphant return to streaming, completely free with ads.

This exciting news comes courtesy of a partnership between The Pokémon Company International and WildBrain. The Canadian entertainment company will become the sole distributor for a single-IP FAST channel (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) dedicated solely to Pokémon. Think of it like a traditional cable channel, providing 24/7 curated Pokémon content without the need for a subscription.

The channel will feature the first 22 seasons of the popular anime, covering Ash Ketchum’s journey from the very beginning in 1997 to the Sun and Moon era that concluded in 2019. This includes beloved arcs like The Beginning, Gold and Silver, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl, Black and White, XY, and Sun and Moon.

While the channel will offer a wealth of Pokémon content, it's worth noting that the more recent seasons like Journeys, Master Journeys, and Ultimate Journeys are not part of this initial offering.

The official release date remains a mystery for now. However, the channel is confirmed to first grace the screens of trainers in the United States. Following its US debut, it will expand its reach to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Reports suggest partnerships with major streaming platforms like Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Roku, Tubi, and Pluto TV. This wide range of platforms ensures accessibility for a vast audience fans.

This news is a dream come true for many. The closure of the Pokémon TV app in March left a void in the streaming landscape, making it difficult for fans to revisit earlier seasons. The new channel fills that gap, offering a convenient and free way to enjoy the classic Pokemon anime.

With the return of these beloved seasons, trainers can relive their childhood memories, introduce a new generation to the wonders of the Pokémon world, and perhaps even discover some hidden gems they may have missed before. This exciting news is further enhanced by the upcoming release of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a mobile game allowing players to collect and battle digital Pokemon cards. With the return of these classic anime seasons and the launch of Pocket, fans surely have a lot to look forward to.

Meanwhile, stay tuned, as the wait to catch 'em all (again) on a free streaming platform won't be much longer. Are you excited to revisit your favorite episodes or discover new ones? Which season are you most looking forward to watching?
