Domino's Pizza has sparked conversation among football fans with a brutal jab at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag. The pizza chain placed a witty billboard outside Old Trafford that read, "We're hiring (not you, Erik)," poking fun at the under-fire manager.

The timing couldn't have been more fitting. Erik ten Hag has been navigating a turbulent 2024-2025 season, with Manchester United languishing in 14th place. A five-game winless streak, including a chaotic 3-3 draw with Porto and a 3-0 defeat by Tottenham, has only increased scrutiny on his leadership. While a goalless draw against Aston Villa offered a brief respite, it did little to calm concerns. Despite significant summer investments, United’s inconsistency under Ten Hag has fueled speculation about his job security, leaving him under mounting pressure to deliver results.

A Domino's spokesperson didn’t hold back, commenting, "Based on his performance, it can't be too long before Ten Hag is given the sack... This coincides with our busiest time of year, where we're hiring people who are results-driven—so not one for Ten Hag, unfortunately!"

To add to the irony, the billboard coincided with a high-profile visit to Old Trafford by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Manchester United's co-owner, and chairman Joel Glazer, amplifying the tension around Ten Hag’s future.

Reactions to Domino's ad have been mixed—some saw it as lighthearted fun, while others criticized it as opportunistic and harsh. For the manager, it was a stark reminder of the constant scrutiny that comes with managing a club of Manchester United's stature.

Although attention-grabbing, the stunt raised questions about the ethics of capitalizing on someone’s professional struggles. Yet, despite the divided opinions, one thing is clear: the pressure on Ten Hag to turn things around continues to grow, with or without pizza-themed jabs.

So, fans, what do you think? Was Domino’s billboard harmless fun, or did it hit too close to home?
