Lay's challenges fans to create the next big potato chip flavor for a chance to win $1 million in 'Do Us A Flavor' contest

After a seven-year hiatus, Lay’s is bringing back its  'Do Us A Flavor' contest, inviting snack lovers to dream up the next big potato chip flavor. With a grand prize of $1 million, this competition offers participants the chance to leave their mark on the world of chips.

 

From now until February 21, 2025, participants can submit up to 10 flavor ideas each day at DoUsAFlavor.com. Each entry must include the flavor name, the inspiration behind it, and key ingredients. 

Once submissions close, Frito-Lay’s culinary experts will select three finalist flavors, which will hit shelves starting in April 2025. The public will then vote for their favorite flavor, with the grand prize winner taking home $1 million, while the two runners-up will each receive $50,000.

 

In announcing the contest, Denise Truelove, senior vice president of marketing for PepsiCo Foods North America, emphasized Lay’s commitment to fan-inspired innovation. “After years of people asking for the program's return, we're excited to hand the reigns back to them to help us uncover the next great potato chip flavor,” she said.

 

Lay’s is also re-releasing past winners like Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken & Waffles, and Southern Biscuits & Gravy to inspire creativity. Fans can enjoy these nostalgic hits while brainstorming new ideas that might just become the next snack sensation.
