Garth Gator
Looking for a side of politics with your Big Mac? Former US President Donald Trump has launched ‘MAGADonald’s’ t-shirts, inspired by his love of the fast-food chain and his highly publicized appearance at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania. During his visit on October 20, Trump wore an apron and took orders at the drive-thru window, serving fries to pre-screened customers. The media moment aimed to connect the 45th POTUS with working-class voters while poking fun at current Vice President Kamala Harris, who has mentioned working at the Golden Arches during her college years—a claim Trump has repeatedly contested. It was later revealed that the restaurant was closed to the public for the duration of his attendance. Nonetheless, Trump’s team wasted little time in turning the stunt into a fundraising opportunity, launching an inspired t-shirt through his campaign. The $100 shirt features an image of Trump leaning out of the McDonald’s drive-thru window, with the text “MAGADonald’s” spelled out in red and yellow below. “I HAVE A McGIFT FOR YOU!” Trump proclaimed to his supporters, maintaining that he was “the first and only 2024 presidential nominee to work at McDonald’s. This effort isn’t too out of the ordinary for the mogul, who often turns big viral moments into merchandising opportunities. Trump’s campaign previously transformed his mugshot into holiday items and digital cards. Unfortunately for those hoping to tuck into the latest piece, the ‘MAGADonald’s’ tees are all sold out. https://www.fastcompany.com/91213647/trump-magadonalds-shirt-peak-political-branding https://news.meaww.com/trump-launches-100-maga-donalds-t-shirts-after-viral-mc-donalds-drive-thru-stunt-mc-gift-for-you https://www.ibtimes.com/maga-donald-t-shirt-campaign-fundraiser-3747672 Images: Donald Trump and WinRed
