McDonald’s Opens LEED Zero Carbon Restaurant… With Stationary Bike Tables

Mcdonald’s golden arches are going green in Hong Kong as a restaurant in Tai Wo has undergone some serious eco-friendly renovations.

The new restaurant is also the first LEED Zero Carbon certified establishment in the city, a recognition granted by the US Green Building Council.

The renovations have a significant positive environmental impact. The remodeled building is expected to substantially reduce 848.22 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions—an achievement equivalent to planting over 36,000 16-foot-tall trees.
