Amazon Allows Shoppers To Pay With Their Palms At Whole Foods Market Stores

Amazon One, the palm recognition service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), has officially reached over three million uses. To celebrate this milestone, Whole Foods Market is taking a major step forward by introducing it for payment and Prime membership benefits at all of its 500+ locations in the United States by the end of the year.

Just with a swipe of their palms, Whole Foods Market customers will no longer need their wallets or phones to make purchases. Instead, they can simply hover their hand over a checkout device, making shopping seamless and convenient.

In addition, for Prime members who link their Amazon One profile with their Amazon account, savings will automatically be applied to their purchases once the transaction has been completed.
