Trendingger
Image: Google Pixel Watch 2 The tech world is abuzz with the latest innovation from Google, the Pixel Watch 2. This smartwatch is making waves for its unique feature that allows it to tell time through vibrations. This ingenious feature, spotted by a Reddit user in the vibration menu of their Pixel Watch 2, is a game-changer in the realm of wearable technology. The Pixel Watch 2’s vibration feature works in a simple yet effective manner. When the screen is on, a single tap on the watch face with two fingers checks the hour, while a double-tap checks the minute. This subtle way of telling time not only offers convenience but also aids those with visual impairments. The vibration feature offers two modes: Digits and Terse. In Digits mode, the watch gives a long vibration for 10 and a short vibration for one4. The Terse mode rounds the current time to the nearest quarter-hour, with the watch giving a short vibration for each 15-minute increment. This level of customization, coupled with up to five different vibration speed settings4, makes the Pixel Watch 2 a highly personalized device. This feature is expected to roll out with the March 2024 Pixel Feature Drop from Google. It’s this kind of innovative thinking that keeps Google at the forefront of technology, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. What are your thoughts on this new feature?
