Cardeomuscular
Image: BYD The online world is abuzz with the latest news about BYD, now the world’s largest electric car maker. The company recently unveiled its most expensive car, a high-performance fully-electric supercar. This move is seen as a direct challenge to the gas-guzzling options offered by rivals such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. The new supercar, named the Yangwang U9, is priced at 1.68 million yuan ($233,450). It boasts impressive specifications, with the ability to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.36 seconds and reach a top speed of 309.19 km/h. This supercar is initially intended for the China market. This development has stirred up conversations about the future of the EV market and the potential for electric supercars to rival traditional luxury car brands. As BYD takes on Ferrari and Lamborghini, it raises the question: Are we witnessing a paradigm shift in the luxury car market? What are your thoughts on this? Do you think electric supercars can truly rival their gas-guzzling counterparts?
