Coke gets its own K-Pop star! Get ready to spill the tea (or soda) on Coca-Cola’s latest creation—a beverage inspired by the vibrant world of Korean pop culture that’s bubbling across the globe thanks to the influences of names like BTS and BLACKPINK.

 

Coca-Cola Creations, the brand’s innovation hub, has launched K-Wave, a limited-edition flavor that combines the classic Coke taste with a “dash” of fruity mystery and a whole lot of K-Pop magic, essentially capturing the infectious energy and global appeal of K-Pop in a can.

 

 

 

 

 

 

To get the taste of the K-Wave experience just right, Coca-Cola scientists went beyond the lab and dove headfirst into Korean culture, resulting in the concoction of a “fruity fantasy” flavor, housed in a can adorned with Korean script and a vibrant green hue, that reflects the youthful and energetic spirit of K-Pop beloved by older teens and young adults.

 

 

The campaign features collaborations with popular K-Pop groups like Stray Kids, ITZY, and NMIXX, along with industry veteran J.Y. Park, who founded the famed JYP Entertainment. These collaborations include an original song and music video that’s sure to get fans grooving.

 

 

A dedicated microsite lets fans insert themselves into the Like Magic music video, discover hidden easter eggs, and share their creations on social media. Fashionistas can also rock exclusive K-Wave apparel thanks to a collaboration with the genderless fashion brand Private Policy. 

 

Fans can tune in to an exclusive live K-Pop concert featuring Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX, and other artists from JYP Entertainment on June 2.
