Google’s Pixel phones are rolling out support for Instagram’s Ultra HDR. This development has sparked a surge of interest among tech enthusiasts and Instagram users alike, making it a trending topic online.

 

Google’s March update has brought a plethora of fresh software features to Pixel phones. Among these, the ability to take 10-bit HDR videos and share them directly to Instagram Reels stands out. Furthermore, Pixel owners can now upload Ultra HDR photos to Instagram, ensuring that their pictures are as rich and deep as possible. This feature is available on the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Fold.

 

This integration of Ultra HDR photos with Instagram is a significant step forward in enhancing the user experience. It allows users to share and view photos with expanded color and contrast, thereby enriching the visual content on the platform. The update started rolling out globally from March 4, and US devices followed on March 11.

 

The addition of this feature to Google’s Pixel phones comes a month after Samsung announced its Galaxy S24 lineup would let users upload HDR photos to Instagram. With tech giants like Google and Samsung enhancing their devices’ capabilities, the future of mobile photography seems promising.
