Akira Toriyama, the influential creator of the globally adored Dragon Ball franchise, passed away at the age of 68. The official announcement from Bird Studio, Toriyama's production team, attributed his death to an acute subdural hematoma, a type of blood clot in the brain. Toriyama’s impact on the anime and manga industry is undeniable. The announcement from Bird Studio requested that fans refrain from sending flowers or gifts.
