Flipboard, the popular social news aggregation application, has been experiencing technical difficulties in the morning of Tues May 21. This unexpected outage has left hundreds of users unable to access their personalized news feeds.

 

According to DownDetector, users reports of downtime started around 8:09AM Eastern Time. Attempts to load the site were greeted with error messages “Flipboard not available. We are undergoing maintenance at the moment” or simply "503 Service Unavailable".

Flipboard, renowned for its unique magazine-style format, has become an integral part of many users’ daily routine. The application, available on both iOS and Android platforms, allows users to customize their news feed based on their interests and social network contacts.
