Image: Downdetector, as of May 22, 2024 10:45AM ET According to OpenAI's status page, the company has indicated “an elevated level of errors affecting ChatGPT and are currently looking into the issue.” Image: OpenAI Status Page as of 10:45AM ET Just yesterday, on Tues May 21, OpenAI reported a partial outage for GPT-4o free users between 11:25AM PDT and 12:26PM PDT. According to a recent report by Similarweb, ChatGPT is recently witnessing significant increase in daily traffic following the launch of GPT-4o, and on track to topping 2 billion views this month, so it's likely that the outages are caused by the soaring usage levels.
