Status Is Down
Thousands of users are reportedly having difficulties accessing DuckDuckGo at the moment, as of May 23 3:15 AM ET, based on the log of complaints on DownDetector. According to the heatmap, the downtime—which appears to have started around 1:30AM ET today—looks to be mainly arising from the west coast of United States, concentrating in cities such as Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. DuckDuckGo mentioned on its official website that it primarily sources results from Bing. However, the Microsoft search engine, along with its AI assistant CoPilot, are currently experiencing outages, so could that have dragged DuckDuckGo down too? In addition, DuckDuckGo has most recently shared on its X account the release of multiple new features, so it's likely that the new rollout might have further impacted system resources. If you're one of the users affected, please share how this downtime is disrupting your daily workflow—and if you will consider other search engine alternatives to get on with your day.
