Visits to dropbox.com are showing an error (500) message. The landing page, however, has assured users "your files are still safe."

According to Dropbox's status page, the company has acknowledged the issue with the following update: "We’re having some trouble with our services currently. We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as we can. We’ll share another update shortly."

 

 

Launched in 2008, Dropbox is one of the world's most popular cloud file hosting service, with over 700 million registered users as of 2023.

[UPDATE - 12:22PM EDT] The website appears to be loading normally again. There was also an update on the status page indicating "a fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results."
