Trendingger
The Geneva International Motor Show, a staple in the automotive industry for over a century, has announced its closure. This decision marks the end of an era that began in 1905, and has left industry enthusiasts and professionals alike in a state of disbelief. The show, renowned for its grandeur and prestige, has been a platform for automakers to showcase their latest innovations and designs. However, in recent years, the event has seen a decline in interest from manufacturers. This waning enthusiasm, coupled with the competition from other shows in Paris and Munich, has led to this regrettable decision. The Geneva Auto Show’s journey has been marked by significant milestones and challenges. It reached its zenith in 2005, attracting nearly 750,000 visitors. However, the advent of the Covid pandemic led to a four-year hiatus. Upon its return, the show saw a drastic reduction in both exhibitors and visitors. Despite the closure of the Geneva show, the torch has been passed to the Qatar edition. The inaugural event in Doha was deemed successful, and the next show is slated for November 2025. This shift signifies a new chapter in the history of international auto shows. View this post on Instagram A post shared by GENEVA INT.
