Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has given the world a sneak peek into his upcoming memoir, titled 'Source Code’. This memoir, unlike his previous works, will focus on his early life, tracing his journey from a misfit child to the creation of Microsoft.

Source Code’ is set to be an intimate portrayal of Gates’ life, encompassing his childhood in Seattle and the stories of his family. The memoir will also reveal the more challenging aspects of his life, such as his struggles to fit in during his childhood, the sudden loss of a close friend, and his near expulsion from college.

Gates, now 68, refers to the memoir as his “origin story” and promises to shed light on the businessman he became. The book is scheduled for release on February 4, 2025. All proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the nonprofit United Way Worldwide.

The timing of the memoir’s release is notable as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Popular Electronics magazine that featured the early Altair 8800 personal computer. This event inspired Gates and his boyhood friend, the late Paul Allen, to start Microsoft.

‘Source Code’, which is available for pre-order now, promises to be a captivating read, offering a unique insight into the life of one of the world’s most influential figures. It will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration to many, reminding us that even the most successful individuals have faced their share of struggles and challenges.
