This memoir, unlike his previous works, will focus on his early life, tracing his journey from a misfit child to the creation of Microsoft. ‘Source Code’ is set to be an intimate portrayal of Gates’ life, encompassing his childhood in Seattle and the stories of his family. The memoir will also reveal the more challenging aspects of his life, such as his struggles to fit in during his childhood, the sudden loss of a close friend, and his near expulsion from college. Gates, now 68, refers to the memoir as his “origin story” and promises to shed light on the businessman he became. The book is scheduled for release on February 4, 2025.
