Hot-Pockets-Holiday-Sweater-Sleeveless-No-Sleeves-1.jpg

Hot Pockets is rolling up its sleeves—or rather, zipping them off. To commemorate a significant packaging change where the iconic crisping “sleeve” has been ditched, the brand has unveiled a limited-edition “sleeveless” sweater to warm up the festivities.

By eliminating the microwave sleeve, Hot Pockets expects to save around five million pounds of paper waste each year—the equivalent to about 400 elephants, according to the snack company. The streamlined packaging also promises quicker prep time, without compromising the crispy factor fans love.

To tie it all together, the new Hot Pockets sweater, made of soft knit material in the brand’s iconic red, features zip-off sleeves, perfect for when things start to heat up at your Christmas party.

Crafted in Hot Pockets’ signature red, this knit number features a whimsical snowman clutching his own Hot Pocket. The pièce de résistance? Zip-off sleeves that allow wearers to adapt to the notoriously fickle temperatures of holiday gatherings.

Lauren Kelly, Brand Marketing Manager for Hot Pockets, explains, “This year, we streamlined our packaging for quicker prep and cook time to give Hot Pockets fans what they love, without the crisping ‘sleeve’ and without sacrificing the crispiness factor. And what better way to say farewell to sleeves than by taking a beloved holiday season icon—the ugly sweater—and making it sleeves-optional to prove that the best things in life are sleeveless.”

For those eager to sport this convertible conversation starter, the Hot Pockets Zip-Off Holiday Sweater will be available in sizes S-2XL for $40. But like a hot pocket fresh from the microwave, you’ll need to act fast. The sweaters will only be up for grabs online on select dates: October 15, October 29, November 19, and December 3.
