Community Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Rolls-Royce has introduced a distinctive edition of its Ghost sedan, named the Ékleipsis Private Collection. This unique variant was conceived to mark the Western Hemisphere’s annual solar eclipse on October 14.The Ékleipsis, a model under the Black Badge series, presents a remarkable visual character. Its exterior boasts a Lyrical Copper paint finish, accentuated by Mandarin detailing. These Mandarin accents are placed on the front bumper, brake calipers, and coachline. According to Rolls-Royce, the detailing “recalls the intense pulses of sunlight witnessed as the eclipse progresses.” One of the standout features of this limited-edition Ghost is the Starlight headliner animation, set in motion when the car doors are closed and the engine springs to life. It comprises a dazzling arrangement of 940 individual “stars,” meticulously configured to replicate the corona of light encircling the Sun during a solar eclipse. Inside, the dashboard features an intricate artwork adorned with 1,846 laser-etched “stars.” An exclusive timepiece, complete with a diamond bezel, also graces the interior. This timepiece draws inspiration from the iconic “diamond ring” effect, which is a single point of light that becomes visible before and after the Moon moves in front of the Sun.Read full article
