Community Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Timex, the celebrated watchmaker from Connecticut, has a heritage stretching back to 1954, with the brand earning its stripes by crafting one of the earliest wristwatches during the stirring times of World War I. Yet, while it remains firmly rooted in American soil, it has its atelier in Switzerland, a horological hub for watchmaking.After four decades, the watchmaker is introducing its first Swiss-made timepiece: the Giorgio Galli S2 Automatic, which is named after the Chief Creative Director for the Timex Group, who had previously worked on the Giorgi Galli S1 in 2019.This latest iteration embodies minimalism and vintage design cues. Measuring 38mm, it gracefully adorns the wrist with an automatic movement, courtesy of Switzerlandâs Sellita SW200-1 showcased through an open caseback. The watchâs case is a fusion of injection-molded stainless steel and titanium.
