Girard-Perregaux Revives 70s Luxury Watch That Displayed Time Only Momentarily

Luxury Swiss timepiece maker Girard-Perregaux was the producer of the Casquette watch between 1976 and 1978. Ever since then, it has remained a highly-coveted piece. 

Now, the brand is resurrecting this iconic model 44 years after the original made its statement. 

The accessory has been revived as Casquette 2.0 to tell the time in delightfully retro red digits with the press of a button, and these only make an appearance for a couple of seconds. Gizmodo reports that this will purportedly ensure the watch gets around two years of battery life with an average amount of daily use.
