Volkswagen rolls out the 3rd-gen model of the Tiguan [its bestselling car]

German automaker Volkswagen has recently unveiled the new model of its best-selling car, the Tiguan (more than 7.6M units sold so far). This announcement has created a buzz in the automotive industry, with the spotlight firmly on the revamped SUV.

 

The 3rd-generation Volkswagen Tiguan stands out with its handsome aesthetics, practicality, and polished driving dynamics. It features a cleanly designed Digital Cockpit based on the MIB4, the fourth-generation modular infotainment matrix, featuring head-up display and voice assistant with ChatGPT integration. It also comes with massage function for the ergoActive seats and IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights have been adapted from the Touareg.

The new Tiguan is more efficient than ever before, thanks to new hybrid drives with an all-electric range of around 100 km. In addition, according to Volkswagen, “the combination of an electric motor and a new 1.5-litre downsized turbocharged petrol engine ensures low fuel consumption and provides a combined range of more than 900 km.”  Also, a new 48 V system converts kinetic into electrical energy and can operate without emissions while in coasting mode.

 

Prices start at 36,600 euros for the 48 V mild hybrid drive (eTSI) model.
