Garth Gator
This spring, Apple is ditching the stage as it seems the annual March keynote is officially out of the picture this year. Instead, the tech giant is opting for a quieter approach, announcing upcoming products through press releases, online videos, and marketing campaigns. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the shift means that the updates might be more modest than earth-shattering. Apple has already unveiled the 2024 MacBook Air, featuring the much-anticipated M3 chip and available in both 13-inch and 15-inch options. There’s more to be expected over the coming weeks, when Apple is slated to introduce a slew of new devices and accessories like an updated iPad, Apple Pencil, and Magic Keyboard. For the refreshed iPad Pro, rumors point to it being packed with the M3 chip, an OLED display similar to the iPhone, and sizing options of 11 and 13 inches. So, while the stage lights may be dimmed for now, Apple’s production mill appears to still be humming along. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2024-03-03/why-was-apple-car-canceled-the-hubris-in-apple-thinking-it-could-outdo-tesla-ltbke5ut https://bgr.com/tech/apple-skipping-its-march-event-might-mean-boring-ipad-pro-and-macbook-air-updates/ https://www.pcmag.com/news/apple-is-skipping-its-spring-event-this-year Opening image: Apple
