Toyota unveils 2025 4Runner hybrid SUV, the model's first redesign in 15 years

Toyota Motor has unveiled its new 4Runner SUV. This revelation marks the first redesign of the model in nearly 15 years, a move that completes the recent revamp of Toyota’s lineup of trucks and SUVs.

 

The 2025 4Runner, Toyota’s popular midsize off-roader, is not just a replacement but a major technical leap. The latest model switches to Toyota’s newer GA-F body-on-frame architecture, a change that promises to enhance the vehicle’s performance and user experience.

 

 

 

 

One of the most notable features of the 2025 4Runner is its hybrid engine. This is the first time a 4Runner model will be offered with a hybrid engine, a decision that aligns with the global trend towards more environmentally friendly vehicles. The hybrid engine combines a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with a 48-horsepower electric motor, promising a total output of 326 horsepower.

 

The 2025 4Runner also boasts new looks, which bear a resemblance to the recently redesigned Toyota Tacoma pickup. In addition to the aesthetic updates, the 2025 4Runner will also feature new “Platinum” and “Trailhunter” high-end trims.
