Many users have taken to Downdetector and X to report that they are currently experiencing connectivity issues with Apple Pay, since around 11PM EDT on Jun 3.

 

According to data on the downtime tracking service, 51% of the complaints are related to payments, while 49% involves funds transfer.

 

 

 

 

Apple Pay, a mobile contact payment system and digital wallet service offered on iOS and MacOS devices, allows users to make purchases using near-field communication (NFC) at the point of sale, whether in person via iOS apps or remotely over the internet. As of 2024, it is estimated that Apple Pay has around 640 million users worldwide.
